A Belmont resident, Eddie Graham, has finally seen his persistence pay off. After years of entering second-chance draws, his dedication landed him a $1 million win on Wednesday.
Graham was left in disbelief, saying, “This is unreal. I’m still processing it.” His prize came from the final round of the 200X The Cash second-chance drawings, which attracted over 1.6 million entries.
The contest featured four separate drawings, each offering one $1 million prize, one $200,000 prize, and 25 prizes of $500. Graham, a long-time believer in second-chance tickets, mentioned that these are the only tickets he ever buys.
After visiting the lottery headquarters on Thursday to claim his winnings, Graham received $430,500 after tax withholdings. He plans to use the funds to clear bills, purchase a used truck, consider a new home, and lend a helping hand to his family.
