Garden City Shopper Strikes Gold with $300,000 Scratch-Off Win

A 59-year-old woman from Wayne County is celebrating a life-changing windfall after hitting the $300,000 top prize on the Michigan Lottery’s Wild Time Bingo instant game.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Tweeny’s Paradise Liquor, located at 32669 Warren Road in Garden City. According to the winner, who chose to remain anonymous, her big moment came shortly after scratching the ticket.

“I scratched it right after buying and thought it was a $300,000 prize,” she shared in a Michigan Lottery news release. “I confirmed it at the Lucky Spot scanner, and when the message said to visit the Lottery office, I knew it was real. I went back to my car, locked the doors, and just sat there, soaking it all in. I couldn’t believe it!”

The winner revealed she plans to save her winnings for the future.

Since its launch in June, Wild Time Bingo has awarded players over $11 million in prizes, with tickets costing just $5. The game still boasts more than $12 million in remaining prizes, including two more $300,000 top prizes.
