A Hingham-based trust has stepped forward to claim a $1 million prize after purchasing a winning instant ticket at a neighborhood convenience store in Mattapan.
Lottery officials confirmed that the 4Gold 50X Lottery Trust of Hingham scored the major win on a “$4,000,000 Gold 50X” scratch ticket. The claim was filed by trustee Kevin Kilduff, who opted for the one-time cash payout.
Instead of annual installments, the trust selected a lump-sum payment of $650,000 before taxes. The winning ticket was sold at Lili’s Market on 1286 Blue Hill Avenue, earning the retailer a $10,000 bonus for handing out the lucky slip.
The “$4,000,000 Gold 50X” game remains one of the Massachusetts Lottery’s top-selling instant products, offering multiple prize levels, including jackpots ranging from $1 million to $4 million.
