After her flight was cancelled, a woman bought a $1M lottery ticket

A Missouri woman lost her flight and was devastated when she found out that $1 million in a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket had won her back.

Angela Caravella (51), from Kansas City, Missouri claimed $1 million as the top prize in The Fastest Road To $1,000,000 scratch-off game. According to a Florida Lottery press release, she chose to receive her winnings as a lump sum payment of $790,000. She decided to receive her winnings in a lump sum payment of $790,000.

Caravella stated that she had a strong feeling that something strange was about to happen after her flight was cancelled unexpectedly. “I bought some scratch-off tickets for fun and I was able to win $1 million.”

Caravella bought her winning ticket at a Publix store in Brandon, just east Tampa. The winning ticket will be sold by the store, who will get a $2,000 bonus.

The $30 game Caravella won was launched in February 2020. It features 155 top prizes totaling $1 million and more than $948 million in cash prizes.
