One Wisconsin man claimed that sticking with his lucky numbers for four years paid off when the Michigan Lottery gave him a $25,000 per year jackpot.
Curtis Olson (62), Grand View, informed Michigan Lottery officials that the ticket he purchased for the Oct. 31 Lucky for Life drawing at The Corner Store/Bar Ironwood bore the numbers 05/07-11-21-29.
Olson stated that he has been playing the same number set for four years.
“I looked at the numbers online the day after the drawing and immediately recognized them. Because I couldn’t believe it, I was in a state of shock for several days. My wife and I feel on top of the world.”
Olson chose to receive his prize in a lump sum payment of $390,000. This is rather than annuity payments of $25,000 per year.
He stated that the jackpot would allow him to pay off his bills and live comfortably.
Winning is life-changing. Olson stated that it is a great feeling to know that financial worries are eliminated when unexpected circumstances arise, such as a car crash.
