After winning the lottery, Barrie’s grandfather is $100,000 richer

One Barrie man won his largest ever winnings by making a change in his lottery routine.

Mario Gurango has won the Instant Wild Card top prize of $100,000. The 74-year old grandfather used to play Instant Crossword but decided to give it a try.

Gurango stated

“When I played my tickets, I realized that I won on the first lines and was shocked”

while he collected his winnings at Toronto’s OLG Prize Centre.

He was overwhelmed and asked a friend for help. They double-checked the ticket with the OLG app.

He has a personal goal to travel and pay off his bills. He also wants to spend time with his family.
