A man from Australia bought a lottery ticket right before he went on vacation. He didn’t realize that he won $1.4 million until he returned home a week later.

The Box Hill, Victoria man said that he purchased a ticket at the Box Hill South Newsagency for the Nov. 27, TattsLotto drawing shortly before leaving town on vacation with his wife.

The player stated that he had been on holiday and didn’t know if he’d won. I was absolutely stunned when I scanned the ticket on The Lott App after I returned home last week.

He discovered that he had won $1434,400 more than a week later.

I told my wife and she also didn’t believe it. She said that she couldn’t discuss it with me until the money was received. The man stated that we have been very quiet about it. It was unbelievable! It’s more than I ever imagined I would win!

According to the winner, he and his wife have plans for the windfall.

He said,

We will pay off the mortgage first and then we’ll invest some. We will also plan trips to Europe and save the rest for the future.
