Dublin Lotto player wins jackpot in Dalkey worth EUR781,265

Last night’s draw saw a Lotto player from Dalkey win a EUR781,265 jackpot.

Players in South County Dublin are being encouraged by the National Lottery to carefully review their tickets.

Wednesday’s Lotto draw was the 16th. Players had the opportunity to win additional prize money by rolling down to the next highest level with a winner of the EUR19.06million jackpot.

More than 141,000 players from Ireland won prizes Wednesday night in Lotto and Lotto Plus, with a Dublin player being the largest winner.

Since the jackpot is capped at $1,000,000, no additional funds were made to it. Instead, funds that would normally go to the jackpot were distributed to the next prize level where there was a winner. Last night’s draw was the Match 5+Bonus.

The winner of Dalkey purchased their Quick Pick ticket at Barnhill Stores, Barnhill Road, Dalkey, Co Dublin.

Barnhill Stores owner Dave Whelan was thrilled to hear the good news about Wednesday’s draw.

He said,

“It will definitely be a day full of celebration and excitement today.”

“We have 60 people working here, and I’m sure they’ll all be thrilled to learn that we sold a winning ticket for over EUR700,000. I’m certain the win came at the right time for the lucky winner as we enter the festive season.”

Last night’s draw (Wednesday, November 24th) saw the following numbers: 08, 10, 19, 41, 43, and 29.

It is important that the South County Dublin winner signs their ticket and keeps it safe. Contact the prize claims team at 1800 666 222, or email claims@lottery.ie to make arrangements for their claim of EUR781,265.
