“I screamed”: Nanaimo woman wins $2.1M from casino slot machine

Nanaimo woman, B.C. was shocked to discover that she had won $2.1 million from a slot machine at Harbour City.

Erralyn Joseph won the Jackpot from a “Powerbucks” slot machine at Casino Nanaimo on February 23rd.

According to the B.C. The jackpot for Powerbucks slots machines is $1 million. As more people wager on these machines in the province, the prize increases.

The odds of winning the jackpot at a Powerbucks slots machine with a $3 wager are approximately 1 in 25,000,000, according to the lottery corporation.

Joseph said to the BCLC,

It all happened so quickly, and the machine kept going off saying $2.1million.

Joseph claims it was a last-minute decision to visit Casino Nanaimo on the night of her win.

She said that her husband and she weren’t planning to attend the event.

We had been to a restaurant before and decided to go to the casino instead.

After they arrived at the casino, it was an impulse decision to play on the winning slots machine.

She said,

I was going play Plinko. But on the other side I saw the Powerbucks slots machine. It was going to be one my last plays of night.

Joseph won $2,129,000.070.54 in total on her third spin of this machine.

She said,

My husband was shocked and amazed, Once we realized how much money we had won, we screamed. We weren’t on Earth, I think we were floating in the air.
