Nearly two decades after winning $100,000, man wins $1M lottery jackpot

A Virginia man who had won $100,000 in the lottery in 2002, returned nearly two decades later to win a $1,000,000 jackpot at lottery headquarters.

Alvin Copeland, Suffolk stated that he used his normal numbers to buy his Cash4Life ticket from the 7-Eleven in Suffolk.

After the Dec. 4 drawing, Copeland realized that he had matched all five numbers: 8-11-25-45-50-48. The Cash Ball number was only missed by the player’s ticket.

Copeland stated,

I feel delicious right at this moment, while accepting his prize.

Copeland had previously visited Virginia Lottery headquarters when he won $100,000 from a Cash 5 draw in June 2002.

According to the winner, his new windfall will be used to take care of his family.
