North Carolina man’s family was full of pranksters who didn’t believe him when he won the lottery.

North Carolina man claims that his family was prone to playing pranks on each other, making it hard for him to convince them that he won $250,000 in the lottery.

Danny Sims, 43 years old, from Ellenboro, , told North Carolina Education Lottery officials that he purchased a 20X The Cash scratch off ticket at the Key Largo Food Mart, Mooresboro.

Sims stated that it took her a while to realize that I had actually won something.

Sims said,

I was so excited that I had tears in mine eyes.

Sims initially believed he had won $25 but soon discovered he had won a $250,000 jackpot.

Sims stated,

I just froze and thought ‘Oh My God!’ It was impossible to believe. It was hard to believe.

Sims stated that he tried to tell family members about his luck, but it proved difficult to convince them.

Sims stated,

We are pranksters.” Sims said, “We are always pranking one another, so they thought that I was playing with them.

The winner stated that his family will need to believe him when he uses some prize money to pay his stepfather’s mortgage.
