Stony Plain man becomes $2 million more richer after winning scratch lottery

After winning the scratch lottery prize, an Edmonton man has become a millionaire.

Dennis Hinds from Stony Plain won $2million after scratching a Zing card in October, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation in a Monday press release.

Hinds claimed that he bought two Zing lottery tickets from his local pharmacy and then went home to read the newspaper and check his computer. He decided to scratch the two tickets later that day.

‘I’M RICH!’

Hinds said,

“I scratched one ticket but it wasn’t a winner. But the next ticket was an entirely different story!”

The Stony Plain man hopes to give some of the winnings to his children and keep the rest in the bank.

The prize-winning ticket was purchased from the Main Street Home Health Pharmacy at 5106 50 Street.
