The lottery was won TWICE by a couple who lost their son to Covid. They scooped more than £30,000

A couple who lost their son to Covid-19 have won two massive lottery prizes in just two weeks, and plan to use their winnings on a memorial for him.

Susan Slater (74), and her husband, who are from Canvey Island in Essex, won the People’s Postcode Lottery twice each in July. They rake in more than £30,000.

They have been married for 55 years and lost their son Steve earlier in the year.

Susan and her husband won a prize of £1,000 each from People’s Postcode Lottery.

Their luck didn’t end there, as they won again two weeks later, this time with £30,000 per ticket.

Matt Johnson, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, sent well wishes to all lucky winners. He said he was happy to have been able to send Susan ‘good news after a difficult time’.
