Two Georgia Lottery Players Strike It Rich with Million-Dollar Wins

Two Georgia Lottery players are celebrating incredible wins this week, including one lucky winner who took home a $2 million prize from a scratch-off ticket.

The fortunate winner purchased the “Xtreme Money” ticket at a Publix store on Highway 5 in Douglasville. The $2 million prize was claimed on Tuesday, July 22, marking a standout victory for the state this month.

In another major win, a Georgia player matched all five white-ball numbers in the July 21 Powerball drawing, earning a $1 million prize. This winning ticket was bought at a Circle K located on Harold G. Clarke Parkway in Forsyth.

The winning numbers for the Powerball draw were 08, 11, 28, 33, and 42, with a red Powerball of 02. The ticket also included a 2X Power Play multiplier, increasing the prize.

The next Powerball drawing, offering a $325 million jackpot, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, at 11 p.m.
