A lucky Norwalk resident just scored a $100,000 windfall after buying a winning lottery ticket at a neighbourhood store, the Connecticut Lottery confirmed.
The life-changing ticket came from Gomez Mini Market LLC in Norwalk and was part of the popular “Holiday Cash 100X” scratch game. The prize was officially validated earlier this week.
In keeping with recent policy changes, the CT Lottery no longer releases full names of winners unless they provide written consent. Officials say the move, effective October 1, 2025, is designed to protect players from scams and unwanted attention.
The lottery emphasized that while winners’ identities are considered public record, their privacy remains a priority under the updated disclosure rules.
