A Rock Hill resident had a feeling luck was on his side—and he was right! The man recently won a $1 million prize on a scratch-off ticket, turning his prediction into reality.

The lucky player purchased the $10 Royal Millions ticket at Quick Food Mart on East Main Street. As soon as he scratched the ticket and saw the life-changing prize, he immediately called his wife.

“I told you it was coming!” he said, recalling the exciting phone call to his wife at work. The couple now plans to use the winnings to pay off their home and enjoy financial freedom.

The odds of winning the $1 million prize in the now-unavailable Royal Millions game were 1 in 1,560,000, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Meanwhile, the Quick Food Mart is also celebrating—the store will receive a $10,000 commission for selling the lucky ticket.
