Valentine’s Windfall: Two Arkansans Celebrate $50,000 Lottery Victories

Harrison native James White turned a routine $20 ticket purchase at White Oak Station Moark #2 into a life-changing moment. After scratching off two tickets for $500 and $50, he took a chance on another at home—and uncovered the grand prize.

Usually playing for fun and to break even, James now plans to channel his winnings into home improvements.

Meanwhile, William McAtee of El Paso celebrated his own big win at the El Paso Shell located at 1820 Highway 64 West. While in the store, his unique left-to-right scratching method revealed the winning $50,000.

Overwhelmed by the news, William shared the moment with his children and grandchildren. He intends to use the winnings to provide for his family.
