Vancouver Couple’s Impulse Pick Nets $1 Million Win

A spontaneous lottery ticket purchase has transformed the lives of Vancouver residents Marlon and Jennifer Camposagrado. While out shopping, the couple felt a sudden urge to buy an extra Lotto 6/49 ticket, setting the stage for an unexpected windfall.

Their luck shone during the February 8, 2025 draw when the ticket turned out to be a $1 million winner. Marlon recalls scanning the lottery app at home and initially mistaking the display for $1,000 before realizing the astonishing truth.

Eager to confirm the win, Marlon headed to London Drugs on Victoria Drive and 41st Avenue. “I was ecstatic,” he explained, recalling how a store clerk paused the transaction to make an urgent call—confirming their big win.

Jennifer admitted that the news left her in disbelief, with happy tears marking the moment. Even amid their jubilation, both remain dedicated to their work and community.

Looking ahead, the Camposagrados plan to save a portion of their winnings for retirement, celebrate a milestone birthday in a big way, and visit family in the Philippines. “It’s an incredibly beautiful experience for us,” Jennifer shared with excitement.
