Lucky feeling in Maryland leads to a U-turn and $2 million lottery prize

Maryland man claims he felt lucky and decided to make a U-turn at a gas station in order to purchase the $2 million lottery ticket.

Silver Spring man, 60, said that he stopped by the Bowie Exxon gas station to top up his tank in Prince George’s County. He originally planned to go to another store to purchase lottery scratch-off tickets.

According to the man, he felt a strong sensation while leaving the station. This led him to make a U-turn at the store and then return to purchase his tickets from Bowie Exxon.

Five VIP Club scratch-off tickets were selected by the player. The first four tickets were not winners. The $2 million top prizes were won by the fifth ticket.

The winner recalls the moment he revealed his prize, saying

“My mouth fell open”.

He said that he would use his winnings for rental properties.
