One man wins $1 million in the lottery during stop to purchase ginger ale

A Massachusetts man stopped in a shop to buy ginger ale. He ended up buying a scratch-off lottery tickets that won him $1 million.

Nicholas Fulmer, from Dracut, told Massachusetts State Lottery officials that he stopped by the Market Basket in Lowell to buy a particular brand ginger ale.

Fulmer stated that he bought a 100X scratch while shopping in the store.

The ticket turned out to be a $1,000,000 top prize winner. Fulmer decided to receive his $650,000 lump-sum payout as a one time, lump-sum payment.

Fulmer stated that he will use his winnings to buy a house.
