Ontario man wins second lottery jackpot by scratch-off at the same store

Five months after winning the $80,000 jackpot with a scratch-off ticket, a Canadian man won $71,000 from a scratch-off lotto ticket.

James Courtemanche (43), Sudbury, Ontario, informed Ontario Lottery officials that he purchased an Instant Wild 8 ticket at Minnow Lake Kwik Way, Sudbury, and brought it home to scratch off.

Courtemanche stated that he was not sure if the ticket was a winner before he scan it with OLG, which revealed a $71,102.40 prize.

Five months prior, the winner visited lottery headquarters to collect $80,000 from an Instant Money Match ticket that he purchased from the same shop.

I was stunned that it had happened again! It was amazing! Courtemanche shared his surprise with OLG officials.

The winner stated that he has no immediate plans to use his prize money.

With the current pandemic it’s not a good moment to plan.

He said,

He is still waiting to book a trip with my first winnings.
